The famous makeup artist Troy Surratt is announcing his own namesake brand, and he’ll soon be launching his first signature beauty collection inspired by Japan and Japanese beauty products.

Surratt and his partner

Nathaniel Hawkins, who is a famous celebrity hairstylist, have spent the last four years exploring the Japanese market and developing a unique makeup range that is sourced and produced exclusively in Japan. The collection will be hitting the shelves in October, at Barneys New York’s Madison Avenue and Beverly Hills locations. A total of 114 stock keeping units, which are described as cool and modern, will then roll out to Barneys’ six remaining doors, where the upcoming Surratt line will be available for a whole year. For example, Troy Surratt will release the Smoky Eye Baton, which is a creamy eye liner with corresponding eye shadow, on the opposite end. The product is designed to help you create mistake-free smoky eye. The Auto-Graphique Liner is inspired by Japanese calligraphy brushes, and it features a refillable ink cartridge. In addition, Surratt is launching the Pointilliste Mascara, which is designed for lower lashes, specifically. The range will also feature various blush and eye shadow shades in ultrathin side-opening pans. These are designed to fit inside customizable palettes, so that each customer can create its own color harmony. The formulas are not pressed, but poured directly into the plastic containers, which give them a velvety smooth texture.

The packaging is distinguished by its matte graduation, which is inspired by the black luxury cars of the city of Monaco. It features a crisp logotype of the brand, which changes color as the light hits the surface of the container. The price range is from about $20 for an eye shadow, to $50 for the tinted moisturizer.
