Yves Saint Laurent, the famous French luxury fashion house, announces the launch of its new makeup collection for Spring 2017. The collection hasn’t been officially announced yet, but today we’re giving you a chance to take an exclusive first look at it.
As you can see, YSL’s color collection for Spring 2017 is a selection of makeup essentials housed in luxurious, yet quirky packaging, which is strongly influenced by street art. The range beautifully complements Yves Saint Laurent RTW collection, which is also Anthony Vaccarello’s debut show for Saint Laurent. YSL’s street-style inspired makeup collection for Spring 2017 focuses on bright neons for lips, cheeks, and eyes. The Couture Palette, combining five intense ready-to-wear eyeshadows, and the blusher are presented in black & white cases with fluorescent highlights evocative of the wrecked surfaces of torn posters on urban facades. The eyeshadow palette comes with a message “Keep an Eye on Me,” while the blusher sends a message “I have a Blush on You.”
The collection also includes YSL Baby Doll Kiss & Blush duos, which are now offered in a convenient mini stick format. A double play of color for lips and cheeks is based on a hybrid formula, which is something in between a lip color and a blush. Each of the shades can be used on its own, or swiped on together and blended for a custom ombre lip, or defined, contoured cheeks. There will be six different color harmonies to choose from, ranging from nude neutrals, corals and reds, all the way to deep burgundy and rich raspberry.
The range also includes four shades of YSL Rouge Volupté Lipstick, and three flattering shades of Nail Polish: 82 Asphalt Grey, 81 Vandal Orange, and 80 Blanc Arty.
