Maya Chia is a relatively young beauty brand which presents itself as a non-toxic beauty line. The Maya Chia product line is created by Susanne Norwitz, who has a lifelong interest in the Maya people thanks to her father, who is a doctor. The brand uses the proprietary process to extract the chia oil, called supercritical extraction. It results in a completely pure oil, which is free from any chemical residues and impurities.
