Shari Gottesman, the founder of Perfect Formula got her start in the world of nail care by spending over fifteen years formulating products at the business her family has owned and operated since 1948. Originally a paint manufacturer that later expanded with a nail lacquer division, Perfect Formula’s parent company, Cosmetic Coatings Corporation, develops nail care and nail enamel products for some of the largest and most well known cosmetics companies. Eventually, and with a breadth of formulation experience under her belt plus a profound understanding of the category in which she was competing, Shari decided it was time to create her own dream luxury nail care line. When she realized there still wasn’t an existing formula out there that could offer the kind of strong, beautiful, natural nails she envisioned, she set out to create her own. Shari is internationally renowned for pioneering techniques in the development and formulation of many cosmetic lines, so when it came time to formulate her own luxury nail care system, she dismissed all conventional strengthening formulations and started from scratch.
