Victoria's Secret is an American designer, manufacturer and marketer of women's lingerie, sleepwear, swimwear and beauty products. It is wholly owned by L Brands. The firs store was opened by Roy Raymond in 1977 at the Stanford Shopping Center, CA. Raymond picked the name Victoria to associate with the refinement of the Victorian era. The Secret was what was hidden underneath the clothes.
Victoria Secret's operations are organized into three divisions: Victoria's Secret Stores, Victoria's Secret Direct (online and catalog operations) and Victoria's Secret Beauty (their bath and cosmetics line).
