Lush Celestial Moisturizer

Lush Celestial is my holy grail moisturizer! I've been blessed with generally very good skin compared to a lot of girls I know, and only started having trouble with it in my early 20's when I discovered that it is prone to dryness and tends to be sensitive to some formulations. I live in a tropical country, with only cooler temps in the early months of the year. It was during that period that I first found my skin extremely dry to the point of flaking and redness. I saw a dermatologist who told me to use only Dove beauty bar for cleansing my face and avoid any moisturizers for a while. I was also prescribed a steroid cream to heal the rash on my face. When my skin got better, I went in search for a moisturizer that suits me. The drugstore brands were not rich enough; most were suitable only for normal to oily skin. When a friend raved about a conditioner from Lush, I visited a store even though I was previously put off by the strong smells emanating from it. I got the conditioner, which didn't really work out for my similarly dry hair, and I also got the Lush Times, which I read from beginning to end. And it was there that I discovered Celestial, a miracle moisturizer for my dry and sensitive skin! When I first tried Celestial, it felt rich and soothing enough for my parched skin, something I didn't get from drugstore brands, some of which worked for a few days then stopped providing enough moisture. I also loved the smell! It really improved my skin, which now felt comfortable on my face -- no more tight and dry feeling. Since then, I'd tried and discovered other moisturizers that work okay for my skin, at least for the hotter seasons, and were more budget-friendly. But every time I find Celestial on sale, I get a few tubs; if its shelf life wasn't so short, I'd hoard more. I am using it now, and my skin never gets dry or flaky when I'm using it. It's the last tub from my last hoard, and I'm sad that it's not part of the post-holiday sale of Lush. Nevertheless, I will surely be coming back to it over and over again!
