SEPHORA COLLECTION Summer News Launch at Hotel Valverde, Lisbon

This week, the exquisite Hotel Valverde, in Lisbon, located in the middle of the luxury avenue Avenida da Liberdade, was the place chosen by Sephora to present to the press their New Summer Products. New items from Sephora and their exclusive brands were shown and I was invited to see, test and chat about them with the brands representatives. What follows is a selection of new products. More detailed information on each one will be given by yours truly in more specific articles as I am now trying some on these beauty items.

The cocktail took place in the garden with a pool, accompanied by fresh drinks and a relaxed atmosphere. This was the perfect seting to unwind and abandon myself to dozens of upcoming secrets of beauty.

After thinking I've seen it all in terms of fragrance formulations and concentrations, here is proof that there is always another invention coming from the hands of beauty brands. I introduce you to Famous, a collection of three fragrances that come in the form of a foam. The scents are simple and girly, soft and fun: Fairy Berry (notes of peony and blackberry), Vanilla Gorilla and Passion Fashion (passion fruit and guava).

I would say that they are more like moisturizers instead of proper perfumes. They do leave a lingering fragrance which is very soft, but above all they leave a silky touch on the skin and keep it hydrated. My favourite was Vanilla Gorilla.

Iconic brand Make Up Forever was showing the complete collection of lipstick colors, including some new ones.

And Too Faced also presented bold lip colors with good coverage and very attractive packaging, as usual. The collection was named Melted Matte.

Still in the lipstick table I was mesmerized by the very extensive pallette of Urban Decay with some nice and edgy lip shades.

Make Up Forever anso introduced the Ultra HD Foundation Sticks with extra coverage in practical packaging and different tones.

Sephora's own brand Ettang, with monodose peel-off facial masks.

Tony Moly has a product that is fun, useful and innovative. The Make Up Eraser, from the My School Looks collection. This is a pen that is designed to erase and target small make up errors like smudged eyeliner, for example. It is sharp, precise and effective.

Peter Thomas Roth was presented by his son. He showed me this Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask. It doesn't look very appealing but it promises to remove all impurities from the skin without drying it up.

Also from this brand, patches that end with blemishes overnight but as they are invisible, they can also be used during the day.

Finally something unusual and unexpected. These reusable gloves by Sephora clean your face and remove any make up, without using any product except for... water! Just wet them and rub your face. Yes, they work. I've tried these as soon as I arrived home. They clean your face as promised. But I don't know if I am convinced... Stay tuned for a review on this.

Thanks for joining me on this tour and count on me for other reports and reviews.
