Benefit Cosmetics The Porefessional: License To Blot

Published: 2015-04-27 by Marina Milojević in Skin Care

Benefit Cosmetics has launched a new product to its POREfessional range – the License To Blot instant oil-blotting stick.

This unusual blotter looks like a classic lipstick, because it comes in an elongated case with a rolling mechanism that pushes the stick upwards. The stick is triangular in shape, which is another nice design tweak as it helps you get into the folds and curves of the face – sides of your nose, forehead, and chin. You may use it whenever you feel the need to get the excess oils from your face – as you would normally use your blotter tissues. Its obvious advantage, compared to the classic blotting papers, is that it doesn’t mess with your makeup! You may use it even with your full makeup on, and it won’t remove any of it, nor cause any smudging. To use it, simply twist it out and gently apply on face using short, swift strokes. It should keep the oil away for about six hours, and you may use it for touch-ups over makeup during the day, or to reduce the look of your pores…

According to the product description, this blotting stick features invisible blotting spheres that mattify shine for up to six hours after application. In a consumer testing on 30 participants, 100% saw continuous mattifying action, 97% said it reduces the look of pores, while all participants agreed that it effectively absorbs excess oils from the surface of the skin.

To get maximum effects, use it in conjunction with other POREfessional products: the POREfessional primer that minimizes the appearance of pores, or sweep on agent zero shine powder for all over shine control. The POREfessional: license to blot instant oil-blotting stick is available for purchase at and The product retails at $20.00
