Burberry Cosmetics Runway-Inspired Makeup Collection for Fall 2016

Backstage at Burberry RTW Fall 2016, in February this year, Wendy Rowe, the famous international makeup artist and artistic consultant for Burberry Beauty, created an amazingly original glitter eye look for Burberry’s models. The show's stars marched down the runway with a Bowies-sque glitter under their eyes. To complement the collection's lamé and sequins-adorned pieces, Rowe made a glittery festive eye makeup using Burberry’s new limited-edition Shimmer Dust holographic glitter around the eye area.

As Rowe explained: “Burberry girls are ever cool and kooky, so the secret to success here lies in using an oversize glitter and being haphazard in your application. If it drops onto the cheekbone, that’s a great thing. It needs to feel effortless.”

Burberry’s new holographic glitter, launching in August 2016, is available in gold and silver shades. You may use it around your eyes, to recreate Burberry’s runway look, or anywhere on the face and body. The new Burberry campaign, fronted by Edie Campbell and shot by Mario Testino, shows the Shimmer Dust in action. The portrait features Edie Campbell wearing one of Burberry's Heritage Trench Coats, while gold and silver holographic glitter falls from the outer corners of her eyes.

August sees the launch of Burberry’s makeup collection for Fall 2016. As always, the shades and textures have been inspired by the runway trends, presented earlier this year. The central piece of the collection is the aforementioned Burberry Shimmer Dust lose glittering powder in Gold Glitter and Black Glitter.

As all good things, the limited edition Burberry Shimmer Dust won’t last forever, so be sure to grab them while they’re still available.

Burberry’s seasonal Runway Palette, illuminating powder for face & eyes is, this time, decorated with an elaborate floral pattern. The elegant square compact opens to reveal a blend of four warm and radiant shades that can be blended together to create a natural, sun kissed glow.

A gorgeous, dark, and mysterious Burberry Runway Eyeshadow Palette offsets the Illuminating Powder with its blackened and rose shades, and luminous gold-colored highlights.

Burberry's runway-inspired makeup collection for Fall 2016, also includes two single eyeshadows. In the spirit of the ’70s glam-rock motifs, that have been seen at the brand’s show in London, Burberry has created two limited edition shades of its Burberry Eye Color. The high-shine eyeshadows are available in Metallic Gold and Metallic Silver.

Burberry Kisses Lipstick is offered in Damson, Nude Apricot, and Nude Beige.

Finally, Burberry Nail Polish arrives in three limited edition glittering hues: Ruby Glitter, Gold Glitter, and Silver Glitter.
