Christian Louboutin Scarabé Nail Polish Collection
Christian Louboutin introduces a new limited edition nail polish collection, which is, this time, inspired by the scarab beetle. In ancient Egypt, the scarab was a personification of the sun god Ra, and a symbol of the heavenly cycle and reincarnation. Same as the god Ra was seen to roll across the sky each day while transforming bodies and souls, beetle of the Scarabaeidae family (dung beetle) roll dung into a ball as food and as a brood chamber in which to lay eggs that later matured into larvae.

The family Scarabaeidae consists of over 30,000 species of beetles, and many of them feature bight metallic bodies. This captivating iridescence of the Egyptian bug is what inspires Christian Louboutin to create a new limited edition collection of nail colors, shoes, and bags. Last year, for example, the famous designer presented the amazing Kephira bag, with a distinctive beetle clasp. The bag honors the Egyptian god Khepri, a solar deity and god of the rising sun, who was often depicted as a scarab beetle. This year, in addition to gorgeous metallic heels, Louboutin presents a full range of iridescent nail polishes. There are three beautiful shades to choose from: iridescent rose and gold, deep blue with purple and emerald highlights, and bronze with green and blue undertones.
The limited-edition set includes three colors, each delivered in a special Loubiton bottle with gold-colored cap and brown outer packaging embellished with a scarab beetle motif. The highly pigmented formula remains the same, which means that only two coats of this lacquer are equal to 20 coats of a traditional polish!
