
The annual Duty Free & Travel Retail Global Summit takes place at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France as the most important event of its kind. This year, the exhibition was held from 2nd till 7th October. Beauty, perfumes, cosmetics and grooming sector are a crucial part of the exhibition, with a significant number of brands providing distributors and press with sneak-previews of the upcoming launches. Beauty department is very important for the travel retail chain, so the exhibition features the most prestigious international brands as well as smaller, niche ones for specific markets. This is a great and exclusive opportunity to get the feel of the new trends in Cosmetics and Beauty sector. Brands like Elizabeth Arden, Clarins, Estee Lauder, Chanel, Dior, Benefit Cosmetics, Filorga, Sisley, Moroccanoil, Collistar, Jurlique, Artdeco, Patyka and many more all showcased their products at the exhibition’s booths or yachts.

Some of the honorable mentions and my first time run ins include Swedish brand IDUN Minerals with its lovely packaging and mineral – based make up, Parisian brand SLA Paris that teaches everyone to be their own make-up artist, Institut Arnaud and its affordabl, Make-Up Studio from Amsterdam and good quality skin care and shea - butter based body care products of Institut du Karite Paris.
