Sun Stripping
Stripping, or sun-stripping, might be the coolest new way to wear your bronzer or blusher. Certain fashion observers believe that this trending technique might even become the new strobing! Sun stripping is a more natural and realistic take on bronzing and blushing, giving the effect of having caught the sun! Stripping is most accurately described as a technique of applying bronzer or blush all the way from one cheek to another cheek, across the bridge of the nose. You should use a product without too much shimmer, and apply it with a flat, blunt brush. Tap or blow off the excess, and draw a strip from the apple of your cheek, across the nose, to the other side of your face. Choose warm, bronzy shades, with terracotta undertones, to get the best possible result.

Flushed Cheek
Another trendy new way to wear blush is to start from the apples of your cheeks and blend the color down low, so you get that distinctive fresh-in-from-the-cold look. Surprisingly, this is a very youthful take on blush, and one of easiest ways to create a healthy-looking flush of color when your skin lacks luster. This technique is all about making the rest of the face brighter and fresher, so the most important thing here is to choose the right shade! To make the transition more natural, you should pick one that matches the color of your cheeks when you have a natural flush. Use cream or powder blush, depending on your skin type. If you have oily skin, pick a powder formula. A cream blusher is good for clear skin and darker complexions, but it requires more blending and frequent reapplication.

Sun-kissed Look
Forget about delineating facial features with contouring and, instead, focus on bringing a sun-kissed warmness to the face! The idea is to create a nice contrast so your complexion looks like it’s really glowing from within, rather than from a product. Again, pick a warmer shade of a blusher and dust just a little bit of it along your hairline and around your forehead. The product shouldn’t be really noticeable – the goal is to create a nice, warm shadow to beautifully frame your face. Use a blusher during winter, and during summer, when your skin is naturally sun-kissed, switch to a bronzer that melts with your tan.
